Wow how criminal is it that politicians are not recognizing the benefits of Canadian content rules for municipal and provincial procurement contracts (both of which are allowed under the rules of NAFTA as well as the WTO) while hundreds of thousands of Canadian workers within the manufacturing sector are losing their jobs!!!

It's shocking to me that we as Canadian's are not standing up and demanding more product that we buy is Made in Canada. If we took the time to buy Canadian Made we would absolutely not be in the position that we as Canadian's find ourselves today!!
ReplyDeleteTake a stand Canada and fight for your Workers & Quality. Then and only then we as a Country will get out of this mess that we created!!!
It's sad that the government doesn't acknowledge the fact that employees within the manufacuring sector have devoted their entire working lives to one company, only to be rewarded with total lack of respect. And now they offer employment services within the non-profit sector, which is like putting a band-aid on a bullet wound.
